The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Procurement Services Team based within Newcastle University’s Finance Hub. The Hub is a large team of skilled and experienced colleagues who manage the financial business activities of the University. We provide a professional and proactive service to our students, colleagues and stakeholders. We are committed to supporting the personal and professional development of our team.

As Assistant Procurement Manager, you will support the Category Procurement Manager working collaboratively to build relations within internal stake holders, support with delivery of solutions and work within guidance and parameters of an ever-changing complex business needs.
Under the direction of the Head of Procurement, you will be coached and mentored in a demanding but rewarding role. Working closely with our excellent team of Procurement Managers, we are looking for ambitious individuals who either have experience in procurement, or are a graduate in supply chain / business looking for that opportunity to develop and carve a career within Procurement.
Administrating Dynamic Purchasing Systems and framework agreements to ensure compliance with Public Procurement Law.
Working closely with Procurement Managers, you will have a high degree of integrity, self-motivation, initiative and drive, and the ability to demonstrate professional resilience.
