Job Title: Cemetery Burial and Grounds Team Leader
Location: Derriford, Plymouth
Contract Type: Temporary
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
Pay: £20 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated Cemetery Burial and Grounds Team Leader to manage and oversee daily operations across multiple sites, including four cemeteries, two crematoria, and five churchyards.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the work of grounds staff across all locations.

Conduct staff appraisals and ensure high morale within the team.

Oversee health and safety compliance across all operations.

Identify and develop income-generating opportunities.

Ensure all policies and procedures are correctly implemented and followed.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in managing workloads and resources effectively.

Ability to work sensitively with the public in emotional and challenging situations.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple locations.

A track record of successfully implementing change and improving working practices.
