Summary

Job Title: Cemetery Burial and Grounds Team Leader
Location: Derriford, Plymouth
Contract Type: Temporary
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
Pay: £20 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated Cemetery Burial and Grounds Team Leader to manage and oversee daily operations across multiple sites, including four cemeteries, two crematoria, and five churchyards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of grounds staff across all locations.

  • Conduct staff appraisals and ensure high morale within the team.

  • Oversee health and safety compliance across all operations.

  • Identify and develop income-generating opportunities.

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are correctly implemented and followed.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing workloads and resources effectively.

  • Ability to work sensitively with the public in emotional and challenging situations.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple locations.

  • A track record of successfully implementing change and improving working practices.
