We are looking for a committed individual to support a gentleman who lives in the Cramlington area. The gentleman has cerebral palsy which affects his core balance and mobility. He is otherwise very independent. He lives at home with his wife and his young daughter.

The tasks involve:
· A daily weekday lunchtime call to support with meal/drink preparation
· Light household duties e.g. dishes associated with meal prep
· Supporting him to care for his daughter when his wife is away from the family home one evening per week

The ideal applicant will:
· Be local to the Cramlington area
· Be available Monday to Friday lunch time and a Friday evening
· Having a friendly, bubbly personality with a kind and caring demeanor
· Be committed to building an appropriate working relationship with the family

Hour's breakdown:
· Monday to Friday lunchtime – 30-minute call – time to be agreed with employer/worker · Wednesday evening – 5:30-7:30pm

A full enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate for Adults and Children will be required, and the full cost will be met by the employer. The successful applicant will have access to the local authority Learning and Development platform where they can access free online training associated with being a care assistant.
