Do you want to play an essential role in the lives of Stockport Residents?

Significant events such as births, deaths and marriages affect us all at some point in our lives. We are looking to appoint a Registration Officer in our Registration Service.

Your Role

This role will cover all aspects of registration. This will include registration of births, deaths, stillbirths, marriages and civil partnership notices and ceremonies. It will also include back-office functions, such as ceremonies desk and copy certificates.

There will also be liaison with third party agencies, such as hospitals, GP’s, funeral directors, ceremony venues, churches and many more.

About You

The ideal candidate will display excellent organisational, customer service, communication and computer skills. Experience in a range of registration activities would be an advantage.

Candidates should display patience, professionalism and empathy when working with residents and colleagues.
