You will be working in a team who advise & support people who find themselves in a homelessness situation, whilst following the guidance from the Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
You will manage your own cases and work with applicants to provide individual pathways to resolve their housing situation.

About this Level 3 Cases Services Officer job:
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Assessing the homelessness situation of your clients.
Exploring their options for housing.
You will do this face to face, on-line and over the telephone.
You will manage your own case load that will be made up of prevention and relief cases.
You will investigate information provided by the client to make a decision on the case.
Be involved with arranging temporary accommodation and ensuring we receive the correct financial contribution for this.
You will work a rota system, giving you time for appointments and time to work on cases.
You will be given regular update training.
Working pattern:
This is a fulltime role, which is 37 hours per week.
You will work Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. You will need to be able to work from 9am to 5pm. Due to the nature of the role there is sometimes a need to stay on to deal with an issue after 5pm but you will receive the time back.
This is a permanent contract.
We offer a generous annual leave entitlement! You’ll receive 23 days annual leave which increase with service, plus bank holidays, PLUS 3 given days which are usually used over the Christmas period when our main offices are closed. You’ll also have the option to buy more annual leave.
You will be working with a friendly team who work a hybrid system of time in the office and home working.
About you, the ideal Level 3 Case Services in Housing Solutions Officer for the job:
You will have the following;
Knowledge:
An understanding of Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
Working with case management system (we use Huume)
Experience:
Of case working.
Of working with people whole are vulnerable or experiencing a period of crisis.
Of following a process ensuring each part is completed.
Skills:
The ability to demonstrate professional curiosity and maintain boundaries
The ability to think creatively to problem solve.
Able to work with autonomy as well as being a team player
Resilience to work in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to impart difficult information with empathy and support
Qualifications:
Good standard of Maths and English at GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent work-related experience.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as part of their pre-employment clearances.
