Summary
Do you want to work towards a degree in Business Management and earn while you learn? Are you ready to fast-track your career and make a real impact in public sector transport? We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our Leadership Development Apprenticeship Programme.
Your Role
Our programme is designed for ambitious people who are passionate about operational leadership and public service. Over the course of 4 years, you'll gain hands-on experience in various placements within TfGM, preparing you for a successful career in management. Alongside this you will also study towards gaining a degree in Business Managementby completing a fully funded Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship with Manchester Metropolitan University.

What you’ll bring
What you do and how you do it is important whatever type of role you work in at TfGM and even small behaviours and actions can have a really big impact. At TfGM, our behaviours bring to life our values of Deliver, Care and Adapt.
You will have (or be expected to achieve) a minimum of 3 x A levels at grade BCC or above, equating to 104 UCAS points or equivalent qualifications such as T-Level or BTEC. You will also hold Maths and English Language GCSE grade A*-C/9-4. You will also have:
A strong interest in public sector transport and operational leadership.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A commitment to constantly learning and developing yourself.
Ability to work effectively in a team and lead initiatives.
You must also be a resident within the Greater Manchester boundary at the time of making an application and have been living in the UK for at least 3 years.
What we can offer you
This is a 4-year fixed term role with a starting salary of £24,960 per annum. Annual pay increases will be awarded upon successful completion of each year in the programme.
Through this programme you will:
Rotate through diverse operational roles, gaining a comprehensive understanding of our transport services.
Lead projects that improve our services and enhance customer experience.
Develop leadership skills through a combination of hands-on experience, mentorship, and continuous learning.
Study towards a BA (Hons) Business Management Professional degree and a Level 6 degree apprenticeship, blending academic learning with practical application.
