Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Hybrid (Norwich Office)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established Building Services Consultancy. This hybrid role offers flexibility, though travel to the office and meetings will be required as necessary.
The consultancy works across a diverse range of sectors, including education, healthcare, commercial, residential, and defence. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing electrical systems for a variety of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and comply with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Design and develop electrical systems for building services projects.

Collaborate with other engineers and professionals to ensure integrated design solutions.
•
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
•
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
•
Utilise relevant software tools to develop and review designs.
•
Engage with clients and stakeholders, providing technical expertise and support.
Essential Requirements:
Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
•
Membership with industry-recognised bodies such as CIBSE or IET (preferred).
•
Strong technical knowledge in Electrical Engineering and a thorough understanding of interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
•
Proficiency in Office 365, Amtech (Trimble), Dialux, or Relux.
•
Ability to design and review technical information independently.
•
Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment, leading, motivating, and mentoring junior engineers.
•
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience in client engagement and negotiation.
Desirable Skills:
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software packages.
