Summary
As the Information & Communication Systems, your main responsibilities will include:
Management of Information and Communications Systems (ICS) within JMC SE Area of Responsibility (AoR), including planning, project management, delivery, budgetary and finance elements
Advise JMC Command, Staff and Units on and co-ordinate all regional ICS matters
Ensure that ICS projects and services are reported upon and delivered in a timely and economic manner in accordance with current policies and delegated resources
Management of budgetary and finance aspects of ICS Branch
Deliver Firm Base ICS capability, manage change and new requirements within delegated budget, including ops, exercises, applications and connectivity
Plan and ensure the provision of resilient ICS provision for UK emergencies
Resource manager for all communications and IT Contracts
Line management responsibilities for four Executive Officer personnel and the Tasking Line Manager (TLM) for three contractor roles
Ensure proper accounting procedures are applied to all equipment and infrastructure
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide best service, value for money and continued good working relationships within AoR
Ensure the correct financial governance, compliance and where applicable, cost recovery measures are in place in respect of ICS provision
Represent JMC SE at higher formation or external conferences/meetings when required
