As a Contract Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the business through financial insight, analysis, and decision-making. From preparing reports to collaborating with stakeholders, you’ll help shape strategies, drive performance, and add value to commercial activities.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Support
- Partner with stakeholders (financial and non-financial) to ensure sound decision-making.
- Provide proactive, ad-hoc financial analysis to guide business strategies.
- Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities related to contracts and business performance.
- Maintain a robust balance sheet, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Prepare key business reports, including month-end summaries, budgets, client reports, and cash analysis.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews, escalating critical insights to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate sales and cost recognition during month-end processes.
- Drive working capital improvements through efficient billing and debt management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and client tender documentation.
- Support operational teams during contract mobilization, ensuring timely execution.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a high-performing finance team.
- Actively studying or considering CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
- Passion for finance and a solid grasp of management accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present financial data clearly to varied audiences.
- Adaptability to dynamic environments.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP, Cognos, or Quick Sights.
- A proactive, energetic approach.
- Self-motivated with excellent planning and organizational skills.
