Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic team on Sage Ward, Division of Medicine, Whipps Cross Hospital as a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker. As part of our commitment to providing exceptional patient care, we are also committed in leading and supporting our team's professional development.
We are an Elderly Medical Ward, a dementia friendly ward that provides visual clues and prompts to help our patients and the relatives find their way around. The ward has a 24-hour responsibility for the delivery of quality care to a maximum of 27 highly dependent elderly patients. Sage ward team prides itself on delivering excellent patient-centred nursing care and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. Sage has been accredited for the Gold Standard Framework (GSF) and provides Namaste Care.
The post holder will need to demonstrate that they have good communication skills and a team player with positive attitude towards improvement. It is essential that the candidate have experience in caring for elderly patients experiencing dementia and delirium.
You will ensure that patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions, as directed by the registered nurse and multidisciplinary team such as doctors and dieticians.
