Recruit4Staff is pleased to represent their client, a leading engineering company in their search for a Workshop Supervisor to work in their leading facility in Shropshire.
The Role – Workshop Supervisor:
Our client is searching for a skilled Workshop Supervisor to drive meaningful change in their workshops and lead the team through growth and expansion.
For the successful Workshop Supervisor, our client is offering:
• Salary £32,000 P/A
• Monday to Friday (Days 8am-5:15pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays) - (The potential applicate must be open to flexibility)
• Permanent position

Main Tasks - Workshop Supervisor:
• Lead, motivate and mentor workshop staff, ensuring clear communication / team work
• Working alongside the other Supervisor and overseeing a team of 25
• Driving continuous improvement within the workshop
• Plan and prioritise workshop activities to meet production schedules
• Ensure the workshop is clean and tidy
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow
• Schedule and assign tasks to workshop personnel
• Coordination of parts deliveries for assigned jobs.
• Workshop jobs coordination & parts supply and stock holding in-house.
• Support workshop manager with department P&L.
• Support the workshop team using working practices and experience.
• Develop and practice a 5s safety culture.
What our client is looking for in a Workshop Supervisor:
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing / workshop based environment - ESSENTIAL
• Experience and knowledge of engineering production and or bodybuilding operations – DESIRABLE
• Proven ability to work within and support a busy workshop environment.
• Ability to demonstrate time and cost control.
• Basic computer skills
• Results and achievement driven and eager to create long term relationships.
