Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning and interested in Maths education? Do you have the confidence to lead a classroom and the flexibility to adapt? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic secondary school team.
About the Role:
As a Maths Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning. While you won’t be required to teach new content, you will manage classroom behaviour, deliver pre-prepared materials, and support students in their understanding—particularly in Maths.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise lessons in Maths and occasionally across other subjects where needed
• Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
• Ensure students complete the work set by the absent teacher
• Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate
• Follow the school’s behaviour management and safeguarding procedures
