Rate of pay: £11.00 per hour
Duration: Full Time or Part Time, Mon to Fri 8:30am to 3pm or 9:30am to 4:30pm
Here at Social Care & Education we are looking for experienced and professional Support Workers to work within a College Supporting young adults which have a variety of learning disabilities and mental health issues.
The needs of the students can be very complex and you would be required to provide personal care and use a hoist so experience within these areas is a must. The type of Support Worker we are looking for must be very bubbly and enthusiastic.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• To interact and respond to the needs of all learners that you are supporting, promoting independence.
• Provide Learning Support on a 1:1 and classroom basis
• To provide a personal centred approach, tailoring support to meet individual needs.
• To work in partnership with young people and college staff.
• To provide personal care where appropriate.
• To undertake administrative tasks and complete all forms of record keeping.
The Requirements:
• At least 6 months experience working as a Support Worker with young adults
• Experience working with Learning Disabilities
• Good Communication and Listening Skills
• Valid DBS / CRB
