Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Medicine Division at North West Anglia Foundation Trust, based dual site between Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital (with a requirement to attend Stamford, Doddington and Ely sites). The role is for a Divisional Operations Manager on a permanent contract at a Band 8B.
If you have experience within a service management (or equivalent role), which includes working within a Hospital or similar setting, combined with a passion for creativity and forward thinking, then we would like you to be part of our team. You will be responsible for championing the operational functioning of a CBU and continuing to develop, enhance and grow our Divisional operational team.
You will be expected to liaise closely with ward MDTs, operational, nursing and medical teams as well as wider stakeholders in relation to key operational targets. You will ensure the development and implementation of robust processes that will have a direct impact in reducing overspend, meeting key targets and supporting the day to day running of the CBU.

As part of the management team within Medicine your role will be fundamental in leading on the operational aspects of a Clinical Business Unit (CBU). This role will be pivotal in operational leadership, strategy, planning, implementation and delivery of a number of key national and local targets (including but not limited to operational, financial and performance) You will provide visionary, supportive guidance and leadership to enthusiastic and experienced multi – professional teams.
This role will give you the opportunity to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, developing your communication and negotiation skills. You will have the opportunity to work alongside all Divisional teams to manage the operational process in its entirety for your respective CBU.
You should be well organised and creative in your approach to problem solving with the ability to communicate effectively with staff from different disciplines. Effective and timely communication between the Trust and external agencies will also be essential.
