Crynodeb
The role will involve overseeing the daily operations of the Building Control Service, ensuring compliance with all relevant building regulations and legislative requirements. The successful applicant will play a key role in budget management and represent Building Control on inter-service working parties and external partnerships. The Team Manager's leadership will be crucial in achieving performance targets, maintaining service continuity, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Applicants must be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 3 (Specialist) and Class 4 (Technical Manager) Registered Building Inspector and will also have extensive knowledge of the Building Safety Regulator Operational Standard Rules and the Key Performance Indicators that support them. A strong understanding of the regulatory framework, including the sections of the Building Act 1984 and Building Safety Act 2022 that relate to higher-risk buildings and amendments to the Building Act 1984, is essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential as well as a relevant qualification, such as R.I.C.S. or ABE membership.
