Full-time: 37.5 hours per week on a rotational basis: (Shift Below)
Early shift: 06:00 - 14:30
Late shift: 14:00 - 22:30
Night shift: 22:00 - 06:30
Rota: The rota consists of 6 shifts (2 early, 2 late, 2 nights) covering 24/7 followed by 3 days off on a rolling 9-week schedule.
Location: Based in Colchester, travel around Colchester, Chelmsford, and Braintree will be required.
Job Overview:
Carecall247, part of Provide CIC, is seeking a dedicated Controller Responder to join our team. As a Controller Responder, you will be responsible for answering calls in a busy Control Centre, providing emergency responses to service users requiring assistance or those who have experienced a fall. This role entails working largely on your own initiative, demonstrating empathy towards service users, and efficiently solving problems with minimal supervision.
Main Duties:
Monitor and answer calls on the call handling platform in accordance with Telecare Services Association and local guidelines.
Provide timely and effective responses to emergency alerts/alarms from Carecall247 service users within their homes, workplaces, or sheltered schemes.
Complete onward referrals to relevant health and social care services in consultation with service users.
Provide a responder service.
Requirements:
Strong IT skills with adaptability to new systems.
Strong communication skills.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
Ability to live within the response area.
Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to drive.
