Job Summary:a) To ensure samples are sent to external hospitals in a timely manner.b) To deal with queries and results sent to the department.c) To manage the sample pathway to ensure patient referrals are completed.d) To liaise with clinical and scientific colleagues in other departments to facilitate the pathway management The successful candidate will have excellent telephone / communication skills and the ability to work flexibly to accommodate peaks and troughs of activity. The successful candidate will also have experience of data entry where accuracy and speed are essential. These roles are for Genomics Co-Ordinators based in our Cellular Pathology Department. The department operates a 6-day working week with core hours between 07.00 - 19.00 Monday to Friday & 07.00 - 17.00 on Saturdays.
