We are looking for an experienced Lead IT Asset Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

You and your role

Join us as a Lead IT Asset Manager and support our Asset Management team as we aim to ensure value and compliance across all DWP's software spend.

You'll manage our Platinum publishers (Microsoft, Oracle and IBM), as well as product ownership and of Flexera, to ensure that we deliver value against a budget of £100m per year.

Collaborating with senior stakeholders, you will optimize licence usages and ensure the effectiveness of the IT Asset Management system, to monitor process, performance and compliance across the entire organisation.

You will have overall responsibility for DWP's IT Asset Management Capability - People, Process and Technology.

You will manage a small team, promoting knowledge sharing and team dynamics, the development of the team as well as identifying relevant resource needs.

  • Proven expertise with Flexera, including extensive experience in asset management, software licencing and optimisation.
  • Significant experiencing managing an ITAM function.
  • Significant experience of leading and influencing ITAM teams.
  • Proven experience of business/transformational change.
  • Experience in Operational Leadership within an ITIL Service Management context.
  • Proven Strategic thinking and implementation.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Manchester, whichever is most convenient for you.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £72,664.

Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth £21,000.

Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
