The gastrointestinal ( GI) faster Diagnostic Service at BHRUT is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiatic individual to join the team. The team triages newly suspected GI cancer patients referred from primary and secondary care for diagnastic procedures. The post holder will be an integral of the team delivery of the Faster Diagnostic service and the GI pathway. The post holder will be given an opportunity to education and training for career development.

The main purpose of this role is to be an integral part of the team delivering the Faster Diagnostic service to the GI pathway. The post holder will be involved with the professional running and contribute to clinical leadership and operational management of the Faster Diagnostic Service. The person will act as a role model, adopting a flexible approach in a role which encompasses service management and clinical responsibilities.

Our patients are benefitting from ourWomen’s Health Hubin Ilford; anAgeing Well Centrein Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) atBarking Community Hospitaland atSt George’s Health and Wellbeing Hubin Hornchurch.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.

The majority of our 8,000 staff – who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups.
