Summary
Mike Collins Recruitment are currently recruiting for a TIG Welder Fabricator for our client in Cradley Heath.
Welding and fabricating thin wall stainless steel using both TIG and orbital welding methods.
Duties:
To develop the required manual (TIG) and orbital welding skills for the role,
To be able to inspect manual and orbital welds and assess their suitability to meet customer requirements,
To undertake coding as required to meet customer and company needs. (to include ASME BPE / ASME IX / EN standards),
To set and operate orbital welding machines accurately,
To inspect own work and identify errors,
To operate all equipment competently, safely and effectively.
To undertake any new skills and training where required
To understand the requirements of Health and Safety, to understand, maintain and to use, the appropriate PPE at all times
Must haves:
TIG Welding and Fabrication experience of thin wall stainless steel,
Able read and work from engineering drawings,
Fabrication experience,
A team player,
Flexible,
Punctual and have an excellent attendance record,
Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail,
Willing to learn and to take instruction.
Hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4pm, Friday 7.30am - 3pm, 39 hour working week.
Rate of pay would be in the range of £14.50ph - £17ph possibly more depending on experience so please apply with desired salary.
