Applications are invited for a Research Project Support Officer in Sport Science, working in the School of Psychology and Sport Science. The post will be 0.6 FTE for 9-months with an anticipated start date of April 2025.
Duties will include supporting a research work package aimed at working with young women and girls in North Wales to increase physical activity by reducing barriers associated with the menstrual cycle and periods, such as period pain and fear of leaking. This work will involve designing active education sessions, gathering and analysing data, contributing to reports and academic articles, as well as wider dissemination, and administration of the research project.
Candidates should be educated to undergraduate standard (or equivalent) and have previous experience in research methods related to sport science, a demonstrated knowledge and interested in specific areas related to the post and have previous experience of planning, problem-solving and project organisation, including prioritising tasks and working to deadlines.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence in April 2025.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
