Chelmsford City Council runs four leisure centres across the city of Chelmsford offering a wide range of sport and leisure activities.

Riverside Leisure Centre is Chelmsford City Council’s flagship leisure facility, offering a variety of sporting activities where there is something for everyone. Every member of staff plays their role, working within a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. If you are interested in a career in leisure and are passionate about delivering the best customer service, then we have the job for you.

We are looking for energetic and self-motivated individuals to deliver high quality and high energy Group Exercise classes. You will work alongside our team of Group Exercise instructors in delivering the high level of customer service our users expect, building attendance and retaining customers.

The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills, be confident, outgoing and ideally hold a current Exercise to Music qualification and/or Gym Instructor Level 2. Applicants must hold a current related class qualification for example Les Mills Programmes, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Box Fit, Group Cycle, Aqua etc.

This position is offered on a casual basis to cover the opening hours of the centre, from 5.30am to 10pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
