Summary
The RAO will provide general administrative duties to the COs/Coxswains of each region, which will include but not limited to the following responsibilities:
To be the regional / SME on the Universities Administration System (UAS).
Conduct the JPA onboarding of new URNU Officer Cadets while assisting in the administration of new entry paperwork.
Assist in the organisation set up and running of unit functions and events.
Function as the regional administrative lead for all staff and cadets, using the UAS and JPA where appropriate, including consulting with the URNU HQ admin to co-ordinate transfers between units.
Monitor and perform logistic checks and controls as required by current regulations on the UAS system. Working directly with the URNU HQ Admin Officer.
Book Travel for regional activities and raise Budget Control Forms (BCFs) for all crown expenditure and expenses.
Support the units in the maintenance of effective lines of communication with Officer Cadets, Training Officers, permeant staff and affiliates.
Maintain and manage stationery as required.
Provide administrative and financial support to units.
Assist the Unit Coxswains with JPA Pay uploads (only with prior authorisation), reconciliations and competencies.
Maintain an understanding of the Royal Navy working practices to consult effectively with other organisations within the Naval Service including other units and Regional Support Unit (RSU).
Create, publish, and administer Defence Connect Event postings (units as directed).
Conduct other administrative duties as directed by URNU Headquarters at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.
Complete Mandatory training and consult with UDSO regarding CPD.
