The post holder will be required to perform and take ownership of activities in the following technical areas: Systems Administration Maintain delivery of consistently high operational standards ensuring multi-platform endpoint functionality, security and availability by managing and monitoring vital services and systems (anti-virus, virtual desktop environment, mobile device management, system management toolsets, thin clients, single sign on and group policy etc.). Product & System Maintenance Performing technical development activities for systems managed by the Client & Endpoint team and providing advice and guidance in their effective use to other IT teams. Identifying, investigating and resolving arising issues to deliver, maintain and protect the service provision and system performance requirements. Operational Support Perform regular maintenance activities, capacity monitoring and performance analysis to ensure continuity of service. When required, work as part of a team to provide responsive attention to emerging infrastructure related issues impacting the wider service provision. Support Services Work as part of a team delivering a responsive service to incidents requiring specific knowledge, experience or systems access. Ensure workload requests are completed within appropriate timescales following defined task and incident management procedures. Team Responsibilities Deliver consistently high standards in performing day-to-day support, maintenance and operation of the Trusts infrastructure resources. Assist the team manager and Development Specialists in planning team workload and strive to improve the delivery output and quality for the successful operation of IT service across the Trust.
