About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Leeds on a part-time basis from 24th February. You will play a key role in fostering a love for music among students while delivering engaging and inspiring lessons. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented educator to make a real impact on students' musical journey.

Position Details:
Location: Leeds
Contract: Part time (Monday to Thursday)
Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Ability to teach a variety of musical instruments.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Skills
- Strong knowledge of music theory, composition, and performance.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passionate about inspiring and engaging young people through music.
- Organised, adaptable, and creative in lesson planning.
- Experience leading musical ensembles and school productions.
- Competence in using music technology and software
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Teach a broad range of musical styles and genres, from classical to contemporary.
- Encourage students to develop their performance, composition, and listening skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Music exams.
- Organise and direct school performances, concerts, and musical events.
- Use music technology and software to enhance learning experiences.
- Lead extracurricular music clubs such as choir, orchestra, or band.
- Support students in preparing for external music exams and competitions.
