Summary

Mechanical Project Manager (Mechanical Experience Essential)

Our client, a Tier 1 contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a subcontract role on a major project in Norwich.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all mechanical aspects of the project, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, including contractors, engineers, and site personnel.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, forecasts, and financial reports, proactively addressing risks.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations on-site.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, providing technical support and issue resolution.
  • Supervise installation and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet design specifications.
  • Manage procurement and material logistics to maintain smooth project progression.
    Key Requirements:
    • Proven experience managing mechanical projects, ideally in the life sciences sector.
    • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, pipework) and electrical integration.
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
    • Strong leadership and communication abilities to drive project success.
    • Proficiency in project management software and relevant industry tools.
    • A valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification (preferred but not essential).
