Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter ready to join a high-performing team in a fast-paced industrial environment? Our Norwich Regional Hub is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to carry out high-quality repairs and maintenance on a variety of rotating equipment.
Salary & Benefits
- Band 2: £15.77/hr - £31,981.50/year
- Band 3: £17.37/hr - £35,209.52/year
- Band 4: £18.79/hr - £38,093.52/year
- Overtime Opportunities:
- 1.5x (Mon-Sat), 2x (Sun)
- Voluntary Call-Out Rota:
- Typically 1 in 5 pattern
- £25/day (Mon-Fri), £50/day (Weekend) + minimum 4 hours paid at overtime rates
- Additional £40 payout if supporting another engineer during call-out
Working Hours
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
- Lunch Break: 30 minutes
- Total: 39 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and service a wide range of industrial rotating equipment:
- AC/DC Motors, Motorised Gearboxes, Pumps, Fan Units, Generators, etc.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (Clean & Valid)
- NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC, City & Guilds, or Time-Served equivalent
- Strong practical mechanical engineering background
- Capable of interpreting engineering technical drawings
- Physically fit to meet role demands
- Manual machining/lathe experience advantageous
- CCNSG Safety Passport and site experience preferred
