Crynodeb
Accurately clinically coding data on the clinical system into the patient record 2. Identifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence, coding appropriately and completing any detailed action 3. Inputting and extracting data as required to support practice reports 4. Filing and storing records as required 5. Photocopying documentation as required 6. Actioning all incoming correspondence, emails and mail in a timely manner 7. Scanning patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare records 8. Inputting data into patients healthcare records as necessary 9. Answering incoming telephone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately 10. Carrying out system searches as requested 11. Maintaining a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times 12. Supporting all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Clinical Coder may be requested to: Review and update the practice coding policy as required in conjunction with the line manager Partake in audit as directed by the audit lead Support reception staff, providing cover during staff absences Book appointments Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota
