Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Temporary Accommodation Officer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will play a key part in managing and coordinating temporary accommodation services for individuals and families in need, ensuring their comfort and safety during vulnerable times. You will be responsible for overseeing the effective implementation of policies and procedures related to temporary housing, as well as providing support to various stakeholders, including clients, service providers, and government agencies. Your expertise will enable you to navigate complex situations and advocate for clients' needs, creating a positive environment that encourages stability and self-sufficiency. Reporting directly to the Temporary Accommodation Manager, you will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to assess accommodation requests and provide timely solutions. This position requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving, as well as strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and community organizations. Additionally, you will be instrumental in analyzing service delivery metrics to improve the quality of accommodations and support services. Responsibilities
Oversee the allocation and management of temporary accommodation placements for clients.
Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and client satisfaction.
Conduct assessments and triage requests for temporary housing.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client cases and accommodation services.
Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Provide guidance and training to junior staff and volunteers within the team.
Monitor quality and compliance of accommodation facilities and services to ensure safety standards are met.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Housing Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in housing services or a related role.
Strong understanding of temporary accommodation policies and best practices.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in data management software and MS Office Suite.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to address housing challenges.
Hours Per Week: 37:00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Week: £19.53
