Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architecture solutions for a large-scale data migration from legacy systems to modern data platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, and project managers, to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Define data mapping, transformation rules, and migration processes.
  • Establish best practices for data design, management, and security in line with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Conduct data validation, testing, and reconciliation processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the data engineering team.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Expertise in data migration projects involving legacy systems and modern data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake).
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical models).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks, including GDPR and healthcare data protection requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency in data quality assurance and validation processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with healthcare standards and protocols (e.g., FHIR, HL7).
  • Experience with modern BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong Agile delivery experience.
  • Certifications in data architecture or cloud technologies (Azure/AWS Certified Data Engineer/Architect).
