Data Architect (Data Migration Program - Private Healthcare)

Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architecture solutions for a large-scale data migration from legacy systems to modern data platforms.
Develop comprehensive data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational requirements.
Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance throughout the migration lifecycle.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, and project managers, to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
Define data mapping, transformation rules, and migration processes.
Establish best practices for data design, management, and security in line with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Conduct data validation, testing, and reconciliation processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the data engineering team.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as a Data Architect, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Expertise in data migration projects involving legacy systems and modern data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake).
Strong knowledge of data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical models).
Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration tools.
Comprehensive understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks, including GDPR and healthcare data protection requirements.
Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing.
Proficiency in data quality assurance and validation processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable:

Familiarity with healthcare standards and protocols (e.g., FHIR, HL7).
Experience with modern BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Strong Agile delivery experience.
Certifications in data architecture or cloud technologies (Azure/AWS Certified Data Engineer/Architect).
