About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing and Midwifery for a Lecturer to join our highly committed Midwifery team to provide maternity cover. Our undergraduate Midwifery course was ranked number one in the country for student satisfaction in the 2024 National Student Survey and the successful candidate will be working in a high performing team dedicated to enhancing the student experience.

About you:

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and visionary and keen to shape Midwifery education. Applicants must be educated to degree level, have a Masters or be working towards one and have significant post qualifying experience as a Midwife. Applicants will also be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Extensive, contemporary practice experience is essential, and you’ll have a keen interest, not only in the developments of midwifery practice but also within midwifery research. You will be committed to the success of your students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in both the classroom and practice areas. Previous experience of teaching and excellent organisational and communication skills are essential.
