Crynodeb

We are looking for a creative content producer to join the HM Prison and Probation (HMPPS) Communications team in the Ministry of Justice.

You will be a member of the award-winning HMPPS Digital Communications Team, working alongside talented content producers and channel managers and reporting to the HMPPS Senior Content Producer, your work tells our staff stories, explains what we do and how our work contributes to a safe society by managing prisons and rehabilitating offenders.

You will:

· be part of a busy digital team working on all our internal and external priority campaigns

· work with account managers and campaign leads to direct and implement content for HMPPS social media channels and internal communications

· have the opportunity to tell human-led stories around reducing reoffending in prisons and the community, uncover staff stories to help recruit new people to the Service and engage 60,000 staff members through innovative internal communications

· be a champion for content standards and accessibility, ensuring all the work you produce is engaging and meets best-in-class standards

· be passionate for digital content and hungry to innovate, taking inspiration from across the public and private sector to improve our content

· be comfortable spending time in prisons, probation offices and approved premises developing good relationships with staff networks and officers on the frontline to better understand how they consume content and champion their needs

· be an advocate for insight and evaluation, ensuring all your products are robustly evaluated and are based on evidence

· play an active role in the HMPPS and wider MoJ Communications Team culture

· thrive in a fast-moving, high pressure role supporting people who work in difficult circumstances, often with the most vulnerable and complex personalities

· be resilient and flexible

Key Responsibilities

· design and produce creative content including videography, photography and graphic design in support of HMPPS priority campaigns

· plan and direct video and photography shoots across England and Wales including in prisons and the community. This role will involve weekly travel across the country.

· work collaboratively with account managers and campaign leads across MoJ Communications to ensure creative ideas fit into team objectives

· use insight and the latest digital trends to engage our audiences in the most effective way

· be a champion of the HMPPS brand and implement our standards, including design accessibility

· work with a network of content producers across government to share creative ideas and promote innovation in cross-government communications

· ensure all corporate security policies and protocols are followed in filming in prisons and community offender management work and all the correct copyright and permissions are gained and recorded for all filming and photography subjects

· take on ad-hoc requests and special products as required by head of the team or the wider senior management team

Technical specifications

· experience of producing video and graphics, including using editing software particularly Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent

· keen eye for design and understanding of what engages audiences

· strong project management skills, with experience of working with a diverse range of clients

· ability to work flexibly on multiple tasks and effectively prioritise a large workload
