About The Role
In this role you’ll be responsible for producing engaging content which is visually appealing, customer focused and drives the commercial performance.
The role takes direction from the Marketing Content Manager to directly produce content across an array of mediums. The role works closely with internal customers, as well as other creative services resources, to align message hierarchy in the production of this content.
In this role you will:
- Design customer focused creative by working with internal customers to understand the points of difference for products or ranges, bringing the key selling features to light in a way that ‘cuts through’ for each marketing channel.
- Create compelling customer marketing content in whatever form the brief
- requires, be it digital assets for emails, social media posts, brand ads,
- video content, print marketing materials, Retail POS or packaging design.
- Deliver content on time by being aware of and working to the creative content critical path, managing your own workload to meet the needs of the critical path, Marketing Content Manager and Senior Brand Lead.
- Evaluate, amend and sign off content from external agencies within
- the framework agreed with the Senior Brand Lead, working with them and building relationships as an extension of the Lakeland team.
- Ensure consistency in visual execution by using the Lakeland brand and tone of voice guidelines in producing and reviewing content.
- •Support digital performance by designing for mobile and digital first, testing creative boundaries in the visual execution.
- Support the Marketing Content Manager to triage content requests, ensuring that they are commercially prioritised and dealt with in an efficient and effective manner.
About You
You’ll be a natural designer, with the ability to craft emotive, engaging and error-free content within tight deadlines.
You’ll have excellent personal, written and verbal communication skills, as an integral part if the role involves liaising with internal colleagues and external agencies.
You’ll have a high attention to detail with a creative eye – and be able to spot errors and omissions that others may miss.
You’ll be commercially savvy, with the ability to judge which creative decisions are likely to add value and boost customer engagement and commercial response.
You’ll also have the ability to manage your own and external supports time, working to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a positive outlook.
It’s important you’re a team player, able to collaborate with others whilst positively challenging and welcoming feedback to drive self improvement.
Essential Experience
- Experience of designing and content production, preferably B2C and ideally in a multichannel business with a significant online presence.• Experience of digital and mobile first design.
- Experience of designing and art working to following brand guidelines.
- Experience in digital art working with an understanding of layout, retouching skills and typography.
- Experience of briefing, developing and approving artwork from agencies
- Advanced knowledge and experience using design software e.g. Photoshop,
- InDesign, video editing app’s
- Good computer literacy - Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
