We have a great opportunity for a Library Advisor to join us!

This is a full-time permanent role based at Maidenhead Library but with a requirement to cover all libraries within the Borough. The salary is £22,216 - £24,569 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Library Advisor to join our Library and Resident Contact (Face to Face) team.

The Role:
As part of the wider Library and Resident Services Team you will have a key role in delivering day to day library and council services at RBWM libraries.

Your role will involve:
Delivering excellent customer service to library customers patiently and empathetically, understanding that all customer interactions make a difference
Dealing with enquiries including council customer services and general community signposting and support services
Assisting customers with digital support
Supporting and delivering library events

What we are looking for:
Someone who loves helping people
An understanding of the value of the public library service to communities and individuals
Excellent digital skills and the ability to show people how to use a variety of digital devices
A love of books and reading
Ability to work at any location in the Borough sometimes single staffing.
Ability to carry boxes of books, pushing loaded book trolleys and being on your feet for extended periods of time.
Exceptional patience, adaptability and emotional intelligence
