Crynodeb
Experienced Carpenter / Shop Fitter required for an expanding local construction company based in Ipswich, this is a hands on multi skilled role. The successful candidate will be working on various sites in and around the East Anglia & South England area. This work will involve shop refits of new and old within the retail industry. There will be some travelling and staying away, some 12 hour shifts and working at nights (Premium paid). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable organisation that values excellence and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out general carpentry and joinery work for retail spaces, ensuring high standards of quality and finish.
• Travel to various retail locations to perform refurbs, maintenance and repairs as required.
• Work on a variety of tasks including fitting, fixture repair, and custom woodwork.
• Ensure all work is completed within deadlines and to the company’s specifications.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site.
• Occasionally stay overnight for assignments that require longer-distance travel.
Ideal candidate will have:
• Proven experience in carpentry, with a strong understanding of retail maintenance needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with various teams.
• Flexible, with a willingness to travel and occasionally stay away from home.
• A full driving license is essential.
