About the role.

National Highways have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Support Analyst to join our team in Digital Services. The Technical Support Analyst will provide NH office locations with daily onsite support for IT infrastructure, including printers, computers, peripherals and telephone equipment. The Technical Support Analyst will also manage application, system and/or network issues to resolution within the client and assist with new installations, migrations and moves.

Please note this is a hybrid position and will be based from our Manchester office, and travel to multiple sites in the Northwest will be required.

  • Perform routine maintenance on computers, monitors, peripherals and digital/IP telephone systems.
  • Setting up new equipment and installing operating system and application software.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of support work performed via, but not limited to, the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of software/hardware to assure the proper implementation and service of client workstations.
  • Maintaining of communications with the client/end user base, external and internal suppliers, throughout scheduled and daily support work activities.

About you.

  • MCP qualification or relevant experience.
  • Good working knowledge of networking, protocols, structured cabling and associated terminology.
  • Related experience in a similar technical support / customer facing role within a corporate/professional environment.
  • Experience of implementing and supporting desktop encryption and end point security such as BitLocker.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems.
