About the role:
Leading on and project managing the delivery of a Gypsy and Traveller site in Powys in accordance with best practice and Welsh Government guidance.
About you:
Previous skills and experience of planning and managing projects ranging in complexity and value and/or good understanding of the local authority housing service (min 3years).
Communication skills, an ability to present information clearly and good interpersonal skills.
Practical knowledge and experience of building projects.
Ability to anticipate issues and make appropriate decisions given competing priorities and resources.
What you will do:
To consider and act upon the Gypsy and Traveller accommodation needs as identified by the Gypsy Traveller Accommodation Assessment (GTAA).
To project manage the process of delivering a new Gypsy and Traveller accommodation.
To develop project plans, setting clear priorities and objectives and effective monitoring of these, addressing issues as they arise.
To assist in developing and then managing the budget of the project and apply for any grant funding available from Welsh Government in addressing the need identified in the GTAA in Powys.
This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
