Summary
The Waltham Forest Women’s Health Hub is seeking an experienced specialist Gynaecology Nurse to provide expert nursing service, advice, information, support and holistic care for gynaecology referrals in a multidisciplinary setting in the community. This role will involve providing supervision and training to Healthcare Assistant staff working within the Women's Health Hub, and managing a caseload of patients ensuring a high standard of evidence based nursing, gynaecological manage and discharge.

The Women’s Health Hub (WHH) is a community-based integrated women's health and gynaecology service for non-urgent gynaecological conditions, to enable a more efficient patient pathway and flow and to improve patient experience. Referral triage, including advice and guidance, is a cornerstone of this model to ensure the most clinically appropriate care pathway for a patient is identified at the earliest possible stage. It will also support the development of a learning system, for example through feedback to referring clinicians.
The aim of the WHH is to improve access for women and girls to care in the right setting, first time, reduce pressure in secondary care and increase consistency and equity in primary care.
The post-holder will work as a Gynaecological clinical Nurse Specialist delivering an expert, specialist service to patients presenting in the Women’s Health Hub in Waltham Forest. The role includes developing, implementing and evaluating a seamless specialist service ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of clinical care and have access to the full resources of the multi-disciplinary team.
The post holder will based at the Women’s Health Hub working with patients, as well as across Bart’s Health focusing on supporting patients /relatives through their treatment.
This will be achieved through clinical practice, management of patient caseload, education, research, audit and professional activities relating to Gynaecological care.

Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may beslightlyshorter than 12 months.
