We’re looking for a proactive Production Assistant to join our team and contribute to maintaining our smooth and efficient operations.
Role Overview
The Production Assistant role is a versatile position focused on supporting various aspects of production and dispatch. This role emphasizes general factory assistance and organisational duties. This is a flexible role with a minimum guaranteed number of hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
• Factory Organisation:
o Organise stock and maintain inventory under the guidance of the foreman.
o Ensure the factory, communal areas, and machinery are kept clean and tidy.
o Assist with waste management, including sorting, recycling, and disposing of materials efficiently.
o Draft and follow a rota to ensure essential tasks, such as cleaning, maintenance, and waste management, are completed on a weekly or monthly basis.
• General Production Support:
o Provide holiday cover for Production Operatives, assisting with machine operation when trained.
o Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, including foam materials and finished goods.
o Support basic maintenance of machinery and tools where necessary.
• Training and Development:
o Take advantage of opportunities to train on different types of machinery used in foam production.
o Develop skills that can lead to career advancement within the company.
• Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with the foreman and production team to meet daily operational needs.
o Attend team meetings to stay aligned with production schedules and safety updates.
• Miscellaneous Duties:
o Be proactive in addressing any ad-hoc tasks required to support the factory's operations.

• A reliable and adaptable individual with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to create and follow rotas for recurring tasks.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, including cleaning, waste management, and manual labour.
• A desire to learn new skills and take on more responsibilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Prior experience in a factory or production environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
