The Role
Foam Cutting Operative – Manual & CNC - 4-Day Week
We’re hiring a hands-on operator to cut flexible foam for sofas, chairs, and mattresses. Most work is done using manual band saws, but we’ll also train you on our modern CNC foam cutting machines. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team in a clean and quiet factory with no weekend work.
• Manual & CNC foam cutting (training provided)
• 4-day week (Mon–Thurs, 38 hrs)
Key Responsibilities
• Operate CNC contour cutting machines using digital cutting files
• Work from CAD drawings (AutoCAD or similar) to produce foam components
• Use manual band saws to complete specific jobs
• Perform basic quality checks and ensure accuracy
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe
• Help with loading/unloading and general production support
What We’re Looking For
• Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent)

• Willingness to contribute to team tasks and shared factory upkeep
• Forklift experience a bonus – or willingness to train
