About the Role
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Coordinator to join the Children's Services team. This temporary position is ideal for someone with a passion for supporting families and improving outcomes for children and young people.

As a Family Coordinator, you will work directly with families to provide tailored support, empowering them to overcome challenges and build resilience. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
Family Support:
Build positive, professional relationships with families, working closely with them to identify and address their needs.
Provide practical and emotional support to children, young people, and their families.

Assessments and Plans:
Conduct assessments to develop and implement family support plans.
Monitor and review progress to ensure positive outcomes are achieved.
Multi-Agency Working:
Work collaboratively with partner agencies, such as schools, health services, and social care teams, to ensure a coordinated approach to support.
Early Intervention:
Promote early intervention strategies to address challenges before they escalate.
Signpost families to appropriate services and resources.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interventions and support provided.
About You
To excel in this role, you will need:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with families.
Experience working with children and families in a supportive capacity.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and with external agencies.
