Join us as a Regulatory & External Affairs Officer
- This is an opportunity to make a real impact by shaping the way that our Cash & Self Service team engage with key stakeholders within the bank and across the industry
- You'll use your existing analytical and written communication skills to draft quality briefings to support team interactions with regulatory and political stakeholders
- We’ll look to you to promote a culture of awareness and responsiveness to regulatory risk
- You'll work from home some of the time, but you'll also spend at least one day a week working from the office according to the business need
- Flexible working arrangements will be considered
What you'll do
As a Regulatory & External Affairs Officer, you’ll be supporting colleagues to understand and respond to key regulatory issues and industry activities. You’ll provide vital support to your team with MI and other reporting. In addition, you'll help shape reporting and briefings for executives and franchise and function heads.
Your other key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the production of regular and ad-hoc briefings and MI reports that relate to our regulatory and industry engagement
- Providing analytical support, including the research and review of draft documentation for the preparation of briefings for senior internal stakeholders
- Assisting with the identification and triage of all political, legislative and regulatory changes and risk
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with a communications, policy or regulatory background and the ability to draft briefings to support team relationships with external stakeholders. You’ll have experience or knowledge of regulatory or public policy or a willingness to proactively learn and become a subject matter expert on issues relating to regulatory change.
In addition, you’ll need:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact appropriately across an organisation, including with executive offices
- Strong written and verbal communication and reporting capabilities
- Strong analytical skills
How we'll reward you
Salary: £36,126 - £42,500 per year (pro rata for hours worked)
You’ll join on a competitive salary between £36,126 - £42,500 dependent on experience, and in addition you’ll receive a contribution to help you save for retirement.
