Academy Trainer - 30 Hours per week
A vacancy has arisen for a Band 5 registered Nurse trainer working within the GWH Academy. The role involves the support and delivery of clinical skills and medical devices training, as well as occasional mandatory and resuscitation training support. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is flexible, positive and enjoys teaching.
Based within the Academy, you will work as part of the Clinical Skills and Mandatory Training Team to positively influence and drive high standards of learning by providing support, supervision, educational and professional development opportunities for all learners within both the classroom and clinical practice setting.
This will include all non-medical disciplines, including trainees, students, new recruits and preceptees.
This role is offered on a part time basis of 30 hours per week, this means that candidates interested in working part time are encouraged to apply and will receive a salary on a pro rata basis.
As an Academy Trainer, you will be expected to positively promote and develop educational standards within the trust, working with registered staff, non-registered staff, students and other learners.
You will have responsibility for the development of the clinical learning environment and the implementation of educational policy whilst providing a professional and responsive service, delivering high quality training and promoting equality of opportunity to all staff and students within the Trust.
This role will also involve regular clinical shifts to ensure knowledge and skills are kept up to date, plus offer support during periods of escalation, as well as supervision of junior staff where required.
