Job Title: Term-Time Only Nursery Manager
About Us:
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to manage our term time only setting in Tower Hamlets. We are a well-established and highly regarded nursery providing outstanding care and education for children aged 2-5 years in the community. Our team is dedicated to fostering a nurturing an inspiring environment that supports the growth and development of every child. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our team and manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of practice and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the nursery environment is safe, engaging, and conducive to the children's learning and development.
• Oversee the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Work closely with parents to foster strong relationships and ensure open communication regarding their child's progress.
• Manage staffing levels, and resources effectively to meet the needs of the nursery.
• Conduct performance appraisals, provide training and development opportunities for staff.
• Ensure health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain high levels of operational efficiency.
• To promote an ethos of inclusion and to oversee and work closely with the inclusion coordinator to ensure consistent, timely and meaningful interventions for children.
• To liaise with the senior/management and/or Directors, early years team, Ofsted services and other professionals as necessary and ensure that all legal and statutory requirements are implemented, and to provide reports as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
• A full & Relevant Early Years degree or level 3 with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manager’s role in a day care or pre-school setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to motivate, lead, and support a team.
• A sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
