Summary

Operations Traffic Clerk– Dash Express APC - Saltash


Main Duties & Responsibilities
Key Task
• Liaising with drivers
• Processing daily reporting sheets
• Customer service support for depots
• Driver pre brief
• Escalation of van defects

General Duties
• Phone calls and emails from depots and recipients chasing deliveries (inbound and outbound freight)
• Service reports
• Checking drivers PODs for any issues and making sure depots are informed
• Pallets and international shipments
• Flexibility training for holiday cover
• Driver/customer complaints
• Enter manual POD

Person Specification

Essential

• Strong administration skills
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Confident in dealing with people on the phone and in person
• Confident with figures
• Proactive approach to tasks
• Adaptable


Desirable

• Previous experience within the parcel logistics industry preferred
• Full driving licence valid in the UK

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Based: Saltash

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7am – 11am
Salary: £11.50 per hour
Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks per year (including Bank Holidays). Holiday benefit – For every continuous year you’re with us, you’ll receive an extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of five.
