We are working with a world class organisation who design, develop and manufacture niche vehicle globally seeking an experienced Design Engineer - Exterior Trim on contract, supporting EV programme for global market
As a Design Engineer - Exterior Trim you have experience of designing exterior trim within plastics using Catia from initial concept through to product launch.
As a Design Engineer - Exterior Trim you will be responsible for:
• CAD operation skills - Expectation for engineer to be able to create and manipulate geometry for primary communication of concepts / schemes within automotive exterior trim
• Catia v5 operative skills, to be able to demonstrate high technical competence - Generation of 3D geometry & sectional data
• Engineering experience in delivery of the designated module systems
• Evidence of engineering skills, including ability to manage & resolve engineering issues
• Understands roles & needs of different client groups. Evidence of working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve results
As a Design Engineer -Exterior Trim you will have knowledge and experience in:
• Delivering design solutions for exterior trim using Catia.
• Engineering BoM development
• DFMEA & DVP creation & maintenance
• Develop scope-of-work documents with key deliverables identified
• Support the module deliverables through to the programme required gateway
• Benchmarking of competitor vehicles & reporting of findings
• Interface with cross functional teams (Package, Analysis, Manufacturing, DVA etc) & implement recommendations where appropriate to create a right first time release
