Job Title:Structural Engineer
Location:Coventry
Thorn Baker has teamed up with a market-leading offsite construction company based in Coventry, is known to be the only business in the UK taking an innovative approach to delivering, manufacturing, engineering, and installing their own building system. This forward-thinking employer are driven by their core values and are now looking for a Structural Engineer to join their growing team.

Your Responsibilities:
• Support the project team in the delivery of exemplary buildings.
• Assist with detailed designs in collaboration with internal and external engineers, other disciplines and referring to the Delivery Manager and/or Lead Engineer.
• Contribution to the technical development team.
• Producing structural design packages.
• Producing temporary works packages.
• Prioritising tasks and focusing on objectives.
• Reviewing and checking of structural design packages produced by external engineers.
• Using AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Teddsand spreadsheets to produce designs.
Required Skills:
A relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, preferably with a focus on timber construction or similar areas of study.
Experience in timber engineering and modern methods of construction.
Design skills using Eurocodes in timber and steel.
Comfortable undertaking hand calculations and using spreadsheets.
Competence in using computer design software packages.
Analytical thinking with an eye for detail.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to take initiative, ownership, and responsibility for your work.
