Who Are We?

Convelio is a leading fine art shipping company that specialises in the safe and efficient transportation of valuable artworks and collectibles worldwide. With a strong focus on technology and customer-centric solutions, Convelio has established itself as a trusted partner in the art logistics industry in recent years and we serve a wide range of customers from art galleries, antique dealers, auction houses, online platforms to interior designers.

We've developed our own proprietary algorithm to offer competitive real-time shipping quotes and an end-to-end logistics service to the art market. Our mission is to become a tech-driven company in a traditional industry, and therefore make the shipping of bulky and valuable items as easy as possible by providing an online and seamless experience. Additionally, we provide secure and reliable storage solutions to ensure your valuable items remain protected.

With 130+ colleagues scattered across Paris, London and New York, Convelio has a strong start-up & international culture. We thrive in solving complex logistics issues for our clients, enabling both sellers and buyers in the art market. We are backed by proven technology, prominent VC’s, and boast a global network and the resources (€30 million Series B funding in March 2022) to seize the market opportunity.

Your Role:
You will play a key role in the handling and packaging, and transportation of artworks, antiques, and interior design objects, ensuring their integrity and safety at every step— from collection to installation.

Through your attention to detail and expertise, you will directly contribute to the quality of our service and customer satisfaction.

✏️ What you'll do:
- Ensure safe handling of artworks: Carefully handle artworks, antiques, and design furniture, applying best practices to protect their integrity.
- Perform detailed condition reports before and after each handling: Document the condition of each object precisely before and after handling, ensuring rigorous traceability and optimal preservation.
- Packaging and protection of items: Perform careful packaging, selecting appropriate materials and methods (crating, padding, foam, etc.) to minimise risk of damage during transportation.
- Loading and unloading operations: Perform the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring secure fixation of crates and packages in the vehicles, manually or using lifting equipment as necessary.
- Ensure tracking and storage of items: Use our inventory management system effectively to monitor and record the movements, locations, and statuses of artworks.
- Collaborate with logistics and customer service teams: Provide prompt support to the warehouse team, operational staff, and customer service, contributing to a smooth admin management.

‍ Your profile:
- Ideally a previous experience as an art packer or with high-end furniture moving, with the ability to assess and minimise risks associated with handling fragile and valuable items.
- Proficiency in using warehouse handling equipment (dollies, pallet trucks, carts, etc.) and ability to safely handle heavy items.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and storage systems to ensure accurate tracking of items’ movements and locations.
- Precision by paying attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.

What we offer:
- An opportunity to be part of a constantly developing and innovative company that is transforming the art logistics industry.
- Managing customs operations for art shipments with independence and make a direct impact in a challenging and fulfilling role.
- New challenges to overcome each day, making every shift engaging and dynamic.
- A closer view on, valuable, and culturally significant art pieces, playing a key role in their journey to destinations worldwide.
- A supportive and dynamic work environment, where your ideas and initiatives are valued.
- Continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance your professional growth in the art logistics domain.
