Crynodeb
The Department has recently expanded into the community providing support to General Practice surgeries and selected care homes as part of a pilot into future community models; this work has commenced at Derby and is planned to include Burton. The Department is active in teaching both medical students and at postgraduate level. There is also a developing research program, alongside regular audits and a developing set of KPIs. We are enthusiastic educators and enjoy supervising our junior colleagues and helping them to achieve their goals and guiding them successfully through their specialist training. We are looking for a candidate who can build on the success of our services and help develop them further in the future as we strive to make care for the frail older patients better than ever.
